Overview
Summer Rock Band Camp is an intensive, month-long music program held at the Ted Herbert Music School in which young musicians, ages 10 to 18, will have the opportunity to learn the skills of playing in a band situation, interacting with and supporting other players while working together towards a common goal; which is to perform 4 to 6 rock songs at a public band showcase in one month’s time!
Program Curriculum
There are 2 camps, one held in July and one in August. July participants will be welcome to enroll again for August. There are 2 classes per week, each 2 hours (a total of eight 2 hour classes).
Classes are Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Morning class times: 9:00am – 11:00am
- Afternoon class times: 12:00pm – 2:00pm
- Available class days and times are solely dependent on the amount of interest and enrollment.
4 to 6 rock songs of various styles will be learned and rehearsed, as well as other group music exercises. The program will conclude with each band performing their songs at a public showcase held at a local music establishment.
